Silje Ekroll Jahren had a bad winter with a lot of sickness. - This year i have had no though weeks [...] because i have had problems with sinusitis, Ekroll Jahren told World of O in an interview. Therefore, the silver medal at the Junior World Champs Sprint in Gothenburg was really a surprise for her.

Story
- The whole year has been just amazing. I’ve enjoyed almost every second of it, but JWOC in Gothenburg was probably the highlight of the year. It was great fun to take part in such a big competition held in your native country, Beata Falk said to World of O in an interview. Falk won three medals at the Junior World Champs in Gothenburg this year.

The youngest Junior World Orienteering champ, winning the sprint distance at JWOC in Gothenburg this year. Also victory in EYOC Long distance, silver medal in EYOC sprint and victory in EYOC Relay.

- I don’t really look at myself as a professional runner. I run orienteering because it’s the best thing I know in the world, and I can’t imagine myself doing anything else, Emma Klingenberg said in an interview with World of O in November. Klingenberg surprised everybody - including herself - by winning the gold medal at the Junior World Champs Sprint in Gothenburg this year.

Winning the bronze medal at JWOC sprint, the gold medal at JWOC long distance and the gold medal at the gold medal at JWOC relay in Gothenburg this year. Also her overall 18th place in W- Super Elite at O-Ringen 2008 and participation as a junior in the World Cup 2008.

Story
Jenny Lönnkvist "loves to compete but hates to lose", maybe that is why the victory in the relay at JWOC felt so great for her, since she lost the relay the year before. Besides Lönnkvist took the bronze medal at JWOC sprint and the gold medal at JWOC long distance.

Story
Siri Ulvestad started to run orienteering at age 8, and also started competing in cross country skiing at age 11. She has combined the two sports at high level since. Siri Ulvestad took the Bronze medal at the Junior World Champs Long in Gothenburg this year.
